How We Collect and Use Information
We collect information about our users in three ways: directly from the user, from our Web server logs, and through cookies. We use the information primarily to provide you with a personalized Internet experience that delivers the information, resources, and services that are most relevant and helpful to you. We don't share any of the information you provide with others, unless we say so in this Privacy Policy.
User-Supplied Information: When you register for our services, we require you to provide certain personal information, such as your name, address, phone number, and e-mail address. We enter this information into our customer data base, where it is used to service your account, to provide you with the products and services you request, and to inform you of products or services we think may interest you. We also ask for credit card information, which we use to charge you for our services.
Through our site, you have the option to establish search agents that send you e-mails with new job listings. In order to identify the right jobs, we ask you to specify the search criteria. We will only use this information to locate jobs that may interest you. Of course, we can't guarantee the security of the e-mails we send to you. No data transmission over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and the content of those e-mails may be visible to others. We strongly recommend that you do not provide us with your work e-mail address. If you give us your work e-mail address, your current employer may also be able to read the e-mails we send you.
If you use our Legal Advice or Career Counseling services, you may send us e-mails with questions or information that you consider confidential. Again, we can't guarantee the security of e-mails sent over the Internet. We'll only use the information you send us to respond to your questions or provide you with legal career counseling, but you transmit such information at your own risk.
If you contact us for technical support or other customer support services, either by e-mail or by telephone, we may ask you to provide information about your computer or about the issues you are trying to resolve. This information is necessary to help us answer your questions. We may record your requests and our responses for future reference and for quality control purposes.
Web server logs: When you visit our website, we may track information about your visit and store that information in web server logs, which are records of the activities on our sites. Our servers automatically capture and save the information electronically. Examples of the information we may collect include:
your unique Internet protocol address;
the name of your unique Internet service provider;
the kind of browser or computer you use;
the number of links you click within the site;
the date and time of your visit;
the web page from which you arrived to our site;
the pages you viewed on the site; and
any searches that you conducted.
The information we collect in web server logs helps us administer the site and analyze its usage. We use it for quality control purposes, to assist you with any problems you may have, or when legally required.
Cookies: In order to offer and provide a customized and personal service, we may use cookies to store and help track information about you. Cookies are simply small pieces of data that are sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your computer's hard drive. We may use cookies to help remind us who you are, to deliver content and services based on your account information, and to help you navigate our sites during your visits. Cookies allow us to save passwords and preferences for you so you won't have to re-enter them each time you visit.
